Mental Health

Overview

The Mental Health Division consists of Mental Health Officers and professional staff who serve as advocates for those struggling with temporary or permanent mental health issues. These officers have a comprehensive understanding of mental health and substances abuse disorders. They are also trained in de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques that offer a unique approach to heightened and sensitive incidents.

The responsibilities of the Mental Health Division are to assist in mental health evaluations, and consult with mental health professionals and facilities to identify the best treatments available for each individual. Additionally, they provide follow-ups with individuals and their support systems to promote continuous care and access to resources as needed.
