Water Utilities
The City of Kyle Water Utilities Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide an ample supply of quality water to citizens, businesses and visitors of Kyle as well operate an efficient and wastewater collection system.
Water Division staff monitor and maintain water quality with daily testing of chlorine residuals as well as collection of numerous bacteriological samples help ensure the integrity and safety of our distribution system. Staff flush dead end mains monthly and regularly monitor water pressure in the distribution system in an effort to further protect our water quality. Our water distribution system is made up of pump stations, ground storage tanks, elevated storage tanks, and miles of water mains. In addition, we repair numerous water leaks per week and respond to calls from customers regarding potential leaks.
Wastewater Division staff are responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater collection system. This system includes the Wastewater Treatment Plant lift stations, force mains, various pumps, manholes, and gravity lines. The wastewater crews clean, maintain, and monitor all of these components of the system. In addition, the crews inspect lines and manholes, with video equipment to search for infiltration/inflow.
