Drought Stage & Water Conservation

Stage 2 Amnded Drought Restrictions are in effect

At the July 16, 2025, Council Meeting, the Kyle City Council approved the rollback of certain drought restrictions for City of Kyle water customers, due to Alliance Water Phase 1B coming online and the Green Valley SUD agreement —  together, these efforts increased the city’s total water supply by 2.37 million gallons per day (MGDs) or approximately 37%. The added water supply allows the City to transition from Amended Stage 3 to Amended Stage 2 Drought Restrictions, effective Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Amended Stage 2 Drought Restrictions allow water customers with drip irrigation and soaker hoses to start watering once a week starting July 17, 2025 as well as extends watering hours for all customers to 7 p.m. - midnight on their designated outside watering day.

As outlined in ordinance 569, that governs our Drought Plan, failure to comply with this ordinance can result in a fine of up to $2,000. Residents are asked to check and adjust all automatic irrigation systems to make sure they align with the current watering schedule.

To report a violation, please contact Kyle 3-1-1
