Adult Programs

All programs will take a short break during May while we gear up for our Summer Reading Program. Get ready for our Summer of Color, kicking off May 27, 2025! Storytimes and programs return June 2, 2025.

The Kyle Public Library offers a variety of programs designed for adults ages 18 and up. Find descriptions below of the adult recurring and special events we have planned for May-July 2025. 

Don’t forget to pick up your Summer of Color Reading Log! This year’s summer reading challenge is open to all ages, with different grand prizes for youth, teens, and adults. Read for a total of 45 days to receive a completion certificate and an entry ticket for one of our grand prizes. There are different prizes for youth, teens, and adults. Stop by the Library to pick up a reading log and check out the prizes you could win. Happy reading!

Magic: The Gathering Commander Play (18+)

Saturday, June 7 @ 12-4 PM

Casual Commander play with casual folks. 100 card deck fun.

 

Community Yoga (18+)

1st and 3rd Tuesdays @ 6:30 PM

Hatha style class appropriate for all experience levels. It is based on mindful movement and will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

 

Open Table Dungeons & Dragons (18+)

2nd and 4th Tuesdays @ 5 PM

5th edition play for all skill levels.

 

Kyle History Chat (18+)

3rd Wednesdays @ 6 PM

Join Preservation Associates, Inc. for a conversation about Kyle’s past, featuring local historians, longtime residents, and special guests.

Bad Art Night (18+)

It's fun art, not fine art! Adults ages 18 and older are invited to create their own masterpiece or disaster. You'll be provided with all the craft items needed to design your art piece, whether sculpture, 2d, or some other secret third thing.

 

Drip Irrigation

Saturday, July 19 @ 1 PM

Learn how to develop a simple plan, get the right tools and materials, and install a drip irrigation system that conserves water, time, and saves your plants from the Central Texas heat!

 

Welcome Mat for Backyard Birds

Saturday, July 26 @ 11 AM

Learn how to attract a diversity of expected backyard species, using native plants, water features, supplemental feeders, and nest boxes. Your yard will come alive with bird song and activity! This event is presented by Travis Audobon.
