The City of Kyle is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas. As such, the Kyle Police Department is also growing. Not only is the department adding personnel to all levels of their operation, but enhancements in communications, technology and training are also paramount in the department's strategic plan for the future.
The City of Kyle administers a Civil Service Exam in order to establish an eligibility list for hiring Police Officers. This eligibility list remains in effect for a period of one year from test date or until the list has been exhausted, whichever comes first. The Kyle Police Officer Entrance Exam is governed by the Local Government Code, Chapter 143 (Civil Service Law).
